Arsene Wenger was in the stands to watch Cristian Tello score a stunning hat-trick in Barcelona's 4-1 comeback over Levante, reports the Daily Mail.

The Arsenal boss was spotted at Heathrow airport yesterday, fuelling rumours that he was off to the continent to scout a potential new signing.

It has been revealed by the British paper that Wenger flew to Valencia to watch the Copa del Rey quarter-final first leg between Levante and Barcelona.

The players Wenger was believed to be watching Tello, who sealing the emphatic win with a 26 minute hat-trick.

Tello, 22, was assisted by Messi for each of his three goals, which all came in the second half.

It would have certainly left Wenger drooling at the mouth with the Frenchman keen to add to his strike options after Theo Walcott sustained a serious knee injury.

Spanish newspaper Sport claim that Tello wasn't the only person on Wenger's radar, who also took the opportunity to run the rule over Pedro Rodriguez.

The Spanish striker is rumoured to be growing discontent with life at the Nou Camp following the arrival of Neymar, fuelling speculation that Arsenal may move for the player in the near future.

Pedro had a much quieter game than teammate Tello, struggling to get involved before being substituted for Alexis Sanchez in the 77th minute.
