Lotus will be the only team not participating in the opening pre-season at Jerez next week after Marussia announced they too will be in Spain.
With the two teams seemingly the most under pressure financially it was seen as likely the two would miss the first four days of testing of the new V6 era, however, on Wednesday, via Twitter, the Anglo-Russian outfit confirmed it's ready to go.
"For those of you asking if we'll be in Jerez next week ... we will indeed," the message read. "Can't wait to see the new MR03 out on track!"
Now that leaves Lotus in a notable disadvantage as being the only team who are waiting until the warmer climate of Bahrain before beginning on-track running of it's new E22, the distinction is also notable after team boss Eric Boullier claimed he knew as "fact" other teams would miss the Jerez test.
Indeed Lotus has yet to announce a launch date for it's 2014 car as Force India became the first to reveal it's new machine on Wednesday, one aspect many are waiting for are the front nose designs with most expected to be rather unpleasant visually.
Indeed ahead of it's launch of the CT-04 at Jerez, Caterham boss Cyril Abiteboul admitted his team's new car is hardly a looker.
"Kids should be dreaming when they see a Formula One car," he is quoted by Reuters. "I don't know what sort of dream or nightmare you will get when you look at those cars.
"It does remind me of (the film) Alien, with something coming out of the mouth and whatever. It's not very nice."
