Unless you have been living under a rock for the past few days, it surely has not escaped your attention that reigning Premier League champions Manchester United appear to stand on the verge of completing a deal to bring Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata to Old Trafford.
The move, which is reported to be worth £37 million, would appear to represent a serious statement of intent from Red Devils boss David Moyes who seems understandably desperate to land his first 'marquee' signing in his new role.
For Chelsea, well, we are not too sure what this deal represents. Mata, who arrived at Stamford Bridge from Valencia in 2011, was integral to the side shortly prior to Jose Mourinho's so-called 'second coming' but has seen his role and indeed his importance to the side rapidly diminish under the management of the otherwise popular Portuguese.
Mata's proposed move to Manchester United set our brains whirring at GMS HQ, as we decided to ponder the scores of high-level players that could be available for less than £37 million - Which is a hell of a lot of money, I'm sure you will agree.
So, with that in mind, we take a look at some of the biggest/most intriguing transfer rumours that have circulated in recent weeks and look at the supposed value of those potential deals/players that are under £37 million*.

Which of these players do you see moving on either during the current transfer window? If so, how much do you feel they will go for?
Do you think any of these players could be better value than Mata?
*Please note, these are not necessarily the biggest or best players that could potentially be bought for under £37 million - just an example of eight.
