Here, I take a look at five of the best young talents in English football...
5 – Callum McManaman
The young midfielder burst onto the scene in Wigan Athletic's final season in the Premier League. He showed great pace and scoring ability during this season and had a fantastic game against Manchester City in the FA Cup final. He’s not the most-gifted technically, but he does have the potential to be a great player
4 – Luke Shaw
A rather overrated player in my view in terms of price, but he is a fantastic player and a great full-back. Eventually he will be worth £30 million but at the moment I don’t think he is. However, he is a very gifted player and has shown signs of brilliance over the past two seasons.
3 – Ross Barkley
His name has been said a lot this season but he is turning out to be one of the best young players in the world at the moment. He’s been amazing for Everton this season and if he continues to grow he will be a great asset for any team.
2 – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The 'Ox' hasn’t had the best of times this season, but Oxlade-Chamberline could very well be one of England’s best ever players. He’s strong, quick and has an eye for goal, as long as he stays fit, he will be a great player in a few years.
1 – Jack Wilshere
Though he is already an established England international, he does still have the potential to be even better. My only complaint with Wilshere is that he doesn’t score many goals but this season we have seen the young midfielder score and create many goals.
