With just over a week left of transfer silly season the Premier League news agenda is supposed to driven purely by stories such as Juan Mata's imminent £37m move to Manchester United, but a pair of bizarre training-ground bust-ups have threatened to derail the rumour mill altogether this week.

First up was Swansea City defender Chico Flores, who reportedly grabbed a brick during a furious exchange of views with team-mate Garry Monk last Friday, in an incident which led police to the club's training ground after a public complaint.

Southampton striker Dani Osvaldo was not to be outdone though, banned for two weeks by the Premier League side after leaving Jose Fonte with 'serious facial injuries' in an altercation earlier today.
