Luol Deng may have only just left the Chicago Bulls for the Cleveland Cavaliers but the forward would consider the Bulls should they call for him in free agency.
Talking to the Chicago Sun-Times, Deng, who is a free agent this summer said ‘‘Maybe they’ll offer me three years, $30 million. That might be an option to take.’’
The Bulls have not commented on the issue for obvious reasons but with the return of Derrick Rose, signing Deng for a reduced price would be considered good business.
For Deng, Chicago might represent a better chance of winning a championship than in Cleveland, who are currently sitting 10th in the Eastern Conference.
Despite rumors of a falling out between player and team during last year's playoffs, Deng insists he would welcome a return to Chicago:
‘‘There’s no bad blood or anything. For me to sit here and say I’m taking Chicago out of the equation, that’s stupid. I was there for 10 years.’’
Deng is a two-time All-Star and has four playoff appearances with the Bulls. He has averaged 17 points since joining Cleveland earlier this month.
