The Washington Redskins may have had a poor season but they've been trying to get their fans back on board this offseason.

First they've brought in a new head coach, Jay Gruden who has vowed to turn the 3-13 team into title contenders. Now they've released a trailer for their upcoming season entitled 'A New Year: 2014--The Gruden Era Begins'

It's not the catchiest of titles but at least they're trying, it may have been released before this year's Super Bowl has even to take place but it could be a very good idea.

Last season fans of the Redskins were left so disappointed that they almost completely emptied the stadium during a game. The organization needed to get fans back on board and this could be the way to do it.

The video is essentially highlights of the football team from down the years set to a very motivational soundtrack. It features lots of Joe Theismann, quite a bit of Jason Campbell and a slice of Robert Griffin III. Toward the end is a sound byte from Gruden's recent unveiling in which he talks about the fans of the team.

The video has not been particularly well received thus far with Deadspin.com  calling it 'dumb', and suggesting it is a poorer version of Navy's effort from last year but if it gets Redskins fans back into RFK Stadium then it will have proved it's purpose.
