Napoli have joined the race to sign AS Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia, who has also attracted transfer attention from Arsenal and Manchester United, reports the Daily Express.
The 20-year-old has struggled to make a significant impact in Claudio Ranieri's side this season, since arriving at Stade Louis II from Sevilla in a £16.5million deal last summer.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was credited with an interest in bringing Kondogbia to the Emirates Stadium last year, and could renew plans to lure the player to north London should he become available again.
Manchester United have been mooted as admirers of the France international as well, as David Moyes also looks to strengthen his squad at Old Trafford, before the mid-season window closes at the end of the month.
However, both Arsenal and Manchester United could now face competition from Napoli, after Rafa Benitez failed with attempts to sign Maxime Gonalons and Etienne Capoue.
The Serie 'A' club are understood to have already made contact with Monaco to declare their transfer intentions, as Kondogbia looks to gain more regular football in the build up to the World Cup this summer.
