Manchester United manager David Moyes has flown to Germany to watch Bayern Munich striker Mario Mandzukic, according to the Daily Mail.
Moyes has travelled with coach Phil Neville to watch Borussia Monchengladbach's Bundesliga clash against Bayern Munich at Borussia Park - and it's believed that the duo will run the rule over the 27-year-old Croatia international Mandzukic.
Reports earlier this week claimed that Moyes was attending the match to scout Gladbach duo Patrick Hermann and Max Kruse, while a day later Bayern Munich defender Dante was the reported target.
But the Mail are confident that Mandzukic is the player Moyes and Neville will keep a close eye on this evening.
The striker will find himself down the pecking order at the Allianz Arena next season after Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski signed a pre-contract agreement with the reigning European champions.
Mandzukic, who turns 28 in May, has scored 25 Bundesliga goals in 40 appearances for the Bavarians since completing his €13m move from VfL Wolfsburg in 2012.
Moyes reportedly has a long-standing admiration in the Croatian, who has scored 13 goals in 46 matches for his national team.
