Magic Johnson has been vocal on the major issues in sport in recent weeks.
Expounding his knowledge via the medium of Twitter, the ex-Laker has had his say on everything from the demise of Andrew Bynum to Richard Sherman's outburst.
And now Johnson has announced who he believes should be this year's NBA coach of the year.
The winner is... Jeff Hornacek
The NBA legend took to his Twitter account on Jan. 23 to write:
"Coach Jeff Hornacek of the Phoenix Suns should win the NBA's Coach Of The Year award!"
The timing of the announcement might have had something to do with Hornacek having masterminded a 124-100 victory over Eastern conference powerhouse, the Indiana Pacers, the night before.
Hornacek has overseen a fairly impressive turnaround during his first season in Phoenix.
Having been assistant coach at the Utah Jazz, he arrived in May 2013, and has helped overhaul a struggling franchise.
Their W against the Pacers took them to a record of 24-17, as they sit third in the pacific division of the Western Conference.
That is just one win short of equaling their entire W column for the 2012-13 season, and we have only just passed midway.
Not bad for the rookie head coach.
What do you think? Who would your vote go to?
