It's fair to say Emile Heskey is not the most prolific striker England has ever produced, and he once again hit trouble when trying to find the net during his latest outing in the A-League.

With the Newcastle Jets 2-0 down in their league encounter against Central Coast Mariners, the former Liverpool man had a wonderful chance to get his side back in the game when he found himself unmarked, seven yards out, with the goal at his mercy.

However the England international, along with his teammates, was left with his head in his hands after producing an awful miss which saw him balloon the ball high over the goal, much to the dismay of the commentators.

Heskey's side went on to lose the game with 3-0, with the 36-year-old again making the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
