West Ham have completed the loan signing of Milan's Antonio Nocerino and his fellow Italian Marco Borriello is likely to follow, according to Sky Sports.
Nocerino has been capped 15 times by Italy and joins the Hammers until the end of the season. He has made just 11 appearances in this season's Serie A.
Roma striker Borriello is the next target for the east London outfit, who are apparently looking for three players. Borriello will fly into London for talks.
The 31-year-old has barely played for his club this term, starting only six games, and spent the whole of last season Genoa.
Sam Allardyce also made a bid for Leeds captain Ross McCormack, which was quickly rebuffed.
Will the Italian duo be the answer to West Ham's attack, which has scored just 22 goals from 22 games this season?
