Cristiano Ronaldo was welcomed back to the Bernabeu in some style, as the Real Madrid forward paraded the Ballon d'Or trophy before the club's home game with Granada this afternoon.
12 days after pipping Lionel Messi and Frank Ribery to the award, the Portuguese superstar delighted the home supporters as he showed-off his latest achievement before taking the opportunity to have some photos with his teammates including Gareth Bale.
The home side duly returned the favour with an impressive gold and black mosaic display that read "CR7" across one side of the stadium.
And there was no surprise what was to follow once the game got underway, with the world's best player opening the scoring in a routine 2-0 victory for the hosts, with French striker Karim Benzema adding a second to rival Ronaldo's left footed strike.
Ronaldo will hope to continue his incredible scoring run, as Madrid chase domestic league and cup trophies, as well European success in the Champions League.
