Aguero may have had a disappointing 12/13 campaign, while Suarez really sunk his teeth in, but times have changed. Is it the Argentine or the Uruguayan who's in better form?
An important part of being a striker, scoring goals. As we all know Aguero has been out for a month, whilst Suarez is Premier League top scorer.
There's more to football than goals... a striker unleashing a stunning pass or unselfishly squaring when they could shoot deserves credit.
3: Scoring Rate
It's all very well scoring many, but goals-to-games ratio really proves a natural finisher. Aguero has played many more games than Suarez, but has been injured. The following percentage is goals over games.
4: Key Contribution Rate
Like the above, except with assists added in.
5: Types of Goals
Scoring many headers is OK, or many tap-ins and things like that, but it takes a really special goalscorer to score many different types of goal. Let's see how this rates;
Aguero: Inside the Area, Outside the Area, Header, Both Feet, Penalties.
Suarez: Inside the Area, Outside the Area, Header, Both Feet, Free Kick.
So Suarez may be more prolific, but this shows us that Aguero is overall a better player.
