Crystal Palace have made a last-ditch attempt to bring Wilfried Zaha back to Selhurst Park for the remainder of the season.
The Daily Mirror suggest the Eagles' late swoop for Zaha has hit a brick wall as Cardiff are closing in on a deal that will see the winger move to Wales until the end of the season.
Crystal Palace, who are currently two points off the relegation zone, are said to be desperate to bring the England international back 'home'.
Zaha progressed through Crystal Palace's academy before making his senior debut in March 2010 against Cardiff.
The 21-year-old went on to spend a further three seasons in Palace's first team before sealing a £15million move to Old Trafford.
However his time at the Premier League champions has not gone to plan with the former Eagles star only making four appearances for Manchester United so far this season.
Zaha would favour a move back to Crystal Palace, however Red Devils boss David Moyes has told the winger he will not be moving back to London - leaving him with no choice but to join Cardiff.
