Cristiano Ronaldo, you might be familiar with him? You know, the 2013 Ballon d'Or winner, the Portuguese megatron who scores more goals than games he plays? Yes, that's the one.

Well, everyone knows his background - snapped up by Manchester United as a fresh faced teenager after giving Ryan Giggs and Rio Ferdinand the runaround in a Sporting Lisbon preseason friendly.

But what about his days before United and Real Madrid? Before he became the world's best player?

There's not much footage out there of Ronaldo before his time at Old Trafford. But video has emerged today of his first ever professional goal for Sporting Lisbon - an absolute beauty against Moreirense on the 7th October 2002.

A burst of pace, a powerful run from the half-way line, an obligatory step-over and a ruthless finish. Sound familiar?
