EVERBODY PANIC!

Okay, not everyone perhaps, but there is no doubt that a few pulses will be racing this week as the days and hours tick down to the end of the January transfer window and managers scramble to take every last opportunity to strengthen their respective squads for the gruelling months ahead.

While Manchester United cruelly stole Roger Johnson's thunder over the weekend to make Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata undoubtedly the biggest signing of 2014 to date, if the plethora of transfer rumours still doing the rounds are to be believed then we could see a few more deals of a similar magnitude completed before the market shuts once again on Friday night.

So, with just a matter of days remaining for clubs to dot the Is and cross the Ts on any remaining transfers, GMS gives you a list of eight deals that we would like to see 'go down' before the window closes until the summer
