WWE superstar Daniel Bryan has apologised to his fans after being left out of the Royal Rumble main event last night, reports the BBC.
However Bryan insisted that his exclusion from the event was out of his hands as he Tweeted his apologies.
Using the social networking site, Bryan said: "Sorry guys, the machine wanted me nowhere near the Royal Rumble match. But I thank everyone for their support."
The fans in Pittsburgh were able to see the superstar in action last night as he went one-on-one with Bray Wyatt earlier on in the evening, however his omission from the Rumble caused controversy in the arena.
When it became apparent that Bryan wasn't going be taking part in the main-event, after Rey Mysterio became the 30th man to enter the ring, fans of the WWE also expressed their upset on Twitter.
However, despite Bryan's exclusion, a number of top wrestling superstars took part in the 30-man over-the-top-rope match.
Batista was the eventual winner of the Rumble as the returning superstar eliminated Roman Reigns to book his place in the main event at WrestleMania.
