1. Theo Walcott

Sidelined Arsenal forward Theo Walcott is now a firm fan favourite at the Emirates, but that status didn't come without a certain degree of struggles after a sensational early move.

Walcott arrived in North London aged just 16 in January 2006, for a fee of £5m which rose quickly based on appearances.

The teenage speed demon was thrust in the spotlight further by a call into the England World Cup squad that summer before making a single senior appearance for the Gunners, but has coped with that early pressure and comparisons to Thierry Henry admirably in seven years working with Arsene Wenger.
