NBA All-Star, Kevin Love has today spoken out in support of injured friend Derrick Rose. Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves will face off against Rose's Chicago Bulls tonight and the three time All-Star has no doubt that Rose will return better than ever.
“Oh, not at all,” Love said after Monday’s morning shoot around at the United Center. “I have no doubt in my mind that he’ll come back and be DRose. Derrick is the type of guy who is going to do everything he can to get back on the floor at 100 percent as quickly as he can, he’s one of the hardest workers in the game. And that’s why he’s one of the best players in the game."
Rose missed the entire 2012-13 season recovering from an ACL injury and has been missing for the Bulls since November with a meniscus injury in his other knee. Chicago have since traded Luol Deng to the Cleveland Cavaliers and have fallen to fifth in the Eastern Conference.
Love trained with Rose in the off-season and the Bulls star has clearly impressed the former UCLA player with his talents.
Whilst Rose may have been inactive, Love has been instrumental for Minnesota, keeping them in the competitive play-off hunt in the Western Conference.
Love will be hoping that Rose returns to full health for the end of the season in order to help him and the USA team to victory in the World Cup of Basketball.
