Manchester United have been installed as the bookmakers' favourites to land Chelsea target Luke Shaw.

The 18-year-old has been attracting interest from both Manchester United and Chelsea over the last couple of months as both clubs are in need of a new left-back.

Chelsea were the bookmakers' favourites to sign £30million-rated Shaw at the start of the January transfer window, however Manchester United are now thought to be in pole position to land the English starlet.

Reports suggest Manchester United have made a £22.5million bid for the teenager in hope that he can be the long-term replacement to Patrice Evra.

However the Premier League champions may have to wait until the summer before landing their number one left-back target, as Saints boss Mauricio Pochettino has warned both Manchester United and Chelsea that their prize asset will not be leaving St Mary's before the end of the month.

SkyBet odds: Who will sign Luke Shaw before February 1 2014?

Manchester United - 8/11
Chelsea - 2/1
Liverpool - 16/1
Manchester City - 33/1
Arsenal - 50/1
Tottenham - 50/1
Barcelona - 66/1
Real Madrid - 66/1
