During the transfer window it seems like every media outlet goes through the 'Football Manager' database and finds roughly ten players who play in England and throughout the world and link them to the top six clubs throughout the Premier league.

This year has been no different. Luke Shaw, Kurt Zouma and Alvaro Morata are all names who have dominated the back pages and the internet ever since the window opened on New Year's Day. At the time of writing all three are linked with a multitude of English clubs and all, with the exception of Morata who if he was to leave it would only be on loan, have large price tags on their head.

However there is one young player who has been tearing up defenders in the Eredivisie for the past two years and to be honest it seems that nobody in the premier league of in any other league wants to bring him into their club. This player is Viktor Fischer.

Having risen through the famous Ajax academy he went on to make his debut for the dutch outfit in a pre season match where he scored. He scored his first regular season goal in october of the same season. He did all of this at the tender age of 18 and has since become a regular feature in the Ajax side. Unfortunately for him it seemed like all of his early work was being overshadowed by Christian Eriksen who was being played in the same position and due to his ability taking the majority of starts.

Since his departure to Tottenham during the summer Fisher has shone. His dribbling, passing and ability to read a game has translated into him becoming one of the most talked about players in the Netherlands. The amazing thing is that all this talk seems to have stayed in the Netherlands and nobody outside the Eredivisie seems to be taking any notice of this talented youngster.

The only reason that I can think of is that Ajax have quietly been rejecting offers or clubs simply aren't looking in the right place for talented youngsters. The Eredivise is a famed breeding ground for talent. Robin van Persie, Luis Suarez, Rafael van der Vaart , Arjen Robben, Wesley Sneijder as well as many other players have all graduated from the Eredivisie and gone on to do huge thing in the future.

Could Fischer be the next?
