Luuk de Jong is on his way for a medical at Newcastle United, with a move away from Borussia Monchengladbach looking almost done, according to the BBC.
The forward, 23, is the younger brother of Siem, and operates in a very similar role to current Magpies' striker, Papiss Cisse.
Strong in the air, he will always pose a threat in the box; however, he is also a deadly finisher with the ball at his feet.
This season has seen his chances - and goals - dry up, though. After only featuring in 13 games he has yet to score for the German team.
This comes off the back of a £12.6m move from FC Twente, in July 2012, when he bagged 30 goals in 46 games for the Dutch outfit.
De Jong has not featured for the Dutch national team in over a year, so will be hoping a flurry of goals in the Premier League puts him back in contention for national honours.
With the imminent sale of Yohan Cabaye, Newcastle will have the money to bring in more faces.
