Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has a number of selection dilemmas ahead of Wednesday night’s clash with West Ham United in the Premier League.
One area of little concern for ‘the Special One’ is between the sticks however, with Petr Cech the Blues’ number one.
In defence, Cesar Azpilicueta has been the preferred choice at left-back for Chelsea ahead of Ashley Cole this season, with Branislav Ivanovic on the opposite flank. Gary Cahill and John Terry have looked formidable at the heart of the back line, despite the later being rested at the weekend.
Moving forward, and Frank Lampard will hope to start against his old side in a holding role, with Brazilian international Ramires likely to be his partner in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Eden Hazard has been the standout performer for Chelsea this season, and it’s hard to imagine Mourinho resting the Belgian playmaker against the Hammers. Oscar and Willian are also likely starters.
Up-front, Fernando Torres is injured and unavailable for the clash at Stamford Bridge, meaning Samuel Eto’o is likely to lead the line ahead of teammate Demba Ba.
Chelsea predicted line-up v West Ham:
Cech; Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta; Lampard, Ramires; Hazard, Oscar, Willian; Eto’o.
