Tottenham host Manchester City on Wednesday in a game that both sides will be desperate to win in order to meet their respective objectives for the season.

Manchester City could leapfrog Arsenal into first place if the Gunners fail to claim all three points at Southampton tonight.

The Citizens go into their encounter against Tottenham in good form - having won their last six games.

In fact, Manuel Pellegrini's side have not lost since their shock 1-0 defeat against Sunderland in November.

Tottenham on the other hand have bounced back from their 2-0 defeat against arch-rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup by beating Crystal Palace and Swansea City in recent weeks.

Spurs boss Tim Sherwood will be hoping his side can jump above Liverpool into fourth spot by claiming a win against the Citizens.

Tottenham duo Andros Townsend and Erik Lamela will miss tomorrow night's game through injury, while Manchester City forward Alvaro Negredo has been declared fit after shaking off a shoulder injury.

Manchester City trio Samir Nasri, James Milner and Javi Garcia will all miss Wednesday's game through injury.

Predicted line-ups:

Tottenham: Lloris; Walker, Chiriches, Dawson, Vertonghen; Sandro, Dembele, Bentaleb; Eriksen, Adebayor, Lennon.

Manchester City: Hart; Zabaleta, Kompany, Nastasic, Kolarov; Navas, Fernandinho, Yaya Toure, Silva; Aguero, Negredo

Prediction: Tottenham 1-2 Manchester City
