Australian phenomenon Dante Exum has declared for the 2014 NBA draft, according to ESPN.

The 18-year-old point guard is projected by many to be a top five pick in this year's stacked draft class, with some predicting he could give Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid a run for their money at the very top.

Exum has signed with Landmark Sports Agency, whose client base also includes NBA stars like Kobe Bryant, James Harden, Andre Iguodala and Andre Drummond.

An Exum family statement read: "We are excited to be working with Landmark Sports. Our family felt The Landmark Team represented our style and manner of treating people, and in doing businesses.

"We also all shared a common commitment to achieving excellence in all things. The fit is just great and we are really pleased to now begin the work."

Exum is ranked as the number four prospect in the ESPN Top 100 and the number one point guard on's Big Board.

The 6ft-6in 18-year-old can also play the two-guard position, but scouts have been raving about his elite size and athleticism for a point guard.

He jumped into the top-five discussion after a stellar Nike Hoop Summit display last April. Exum was also excellent at the FIBA under-19 Championships last summer and many believe he could be one of the top picks this summer.
