Arsene Wenger is plotting a triple swoop on the Championship, according to talkSPORT.
Arsenal scouts have been spotted watching Charlton Athletic's midfielder Jordan Cousins, Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy and Nottingham Forest central defender Jamaal Lascelles.
It is thought that if Reading don't get promoted this season then McCarthy might move on, after putting in a string of impressive performances both in the Premier League and the Championship.
Even with the Gunners pushing for honours both domestically and in Europe, Wenger will nonetheless still look to bring in young British talent to bolster his squad.
The likes of Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain can be taken as two perfect examples of the development game the Gunners boss has become synonymous with and with his rich history of taking young talent and nurturing it so that it blossoms there's every chance the aforementioned Championship trio could be a hit in north London.
