Rumoured Arsenal target Julian Draxler would be a perfect fit for the Gunners, according to former-Arsenal star Robert Pires.
Pires was speaking to SPOX.com when he said the 20-year-old Germany international had the temperament and technique to play for the Gunners.
Pires said: "Julian is a good player. He is young and has great potential for development.
"When I watch him play, I always say that he corresponds perfectly to Arsenal's style of play. I would not mind playing him on the left side or up front.
"It could really strengthen the team."
Draxler is thought to have a €40m release clause in his Schalke contract. Arsenal have been heavily linked with the young playmaker this January window.
They snapped up Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid over the summer, and Draxler is expected to push the Gunner hard for a starting spot in the Germany national team this summer.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has warned his club's fans though, stating that his team may not do any business in the January window.
They sit well placed to mount a title challenge following an impressive first-half of the season.
And they had been expected to strengthen, with another striker thought to be a priority for a club that boasts only Nicklas Bendtner in reserve up front.
