The New York Knicks will aim for their third consecutive victory when they host the Boston Celtics at Madison Square Garden later tonight.

After a bad run of form, the Knicks have finally hit a purple patch led by their prolific scorer, Carmelo Anthony.

Anthony has 97 points in his last two games and looks ready to guide the Knicks toward a .500 record.

The Knicks host the Celtics who have come off an emotional loss to the Brooklyn Nets. The Celtics have also five of their last six games and are floundering in 12th place in the conference, well outside the playoffs.

Rajon Rondo's return for Boston has gathered steam, he played a season high 30 points and got 13 points.

Coach Brad Stevens is happy with the way things are going for Rondo: "It's actually progressing as we thought. He played more minutes, obviously, and that was by design. ... That probably helps him get a better rhythm when he's in the game."

Jerryd Bayless should return for the Celtics off the bench tonight. He's been out with a toe injury.

For the Knicks; Metta World Peace is listed as day-to-day whilst Andrea Bargnani is still out with an elbow injury after that failed dunk.
