Sharp has had a great season.

Chicago Blackhawks are currently in the middle of a terrible run that threatens to derail their season.

Tonight at 8:30pm CST, the Blackhawks will look to get back to winning ways against the Calgary Flames after a three-game losing stretch.

The NHL's defending Stanley Cup Champions run is down to poor execution, they're creating chances but not scoring goals.

Chicago lost to Winnipeg Sunday, but it wasn't for the lack of trying as they held a 27-6 advantage in shots on goal through two periods, but struggled to convert their chances and were eventually undone by three Jets goals in the third period.

"I think the first 40 [minutes], we gave up nothing," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said afterward. "We get an unfortunate bounce right to their guy (Blake Wheeler), and it's a 1-1 game. We made an uncharacteristic giveaway on the winning goal (by Andrew Ladd). That was a tough loss for sure."

The Flames are going through a transition season, and this game should be one that Chicago wins.

The road team may have lost their last three, but they have beaten Calgary in four of their last five meetings.

Chicago need to get back to the basics of their hockey play, which includes puck possession and top notch defensive positioning.

They're now only one point ahead of the St Louis Blues in the Central Division of the Western Conference, so tonight they need to get back on the horse.
