Juan Mata: Manchester United v Cardiff individual highlights

Published 1 Comments

Juan Mata enjoyed a winning start to his Manchester United career – as the Red Devils recorded a 2-0 Premier League victory over Cardiff City on Tuesday night.

The Spain international, who United paid a club-record £37.1m fee for last weekend, played 85 minutes before being substituted for Adnan Januzaj.

Mata received a standing ovation from the Manchester United faithful, who left Old Trafford feeling hugely encouraged by what they had seen from the 25-year-old ex-Chelsea star.

Although it was clear that Mata currently lacks a little match-fitness, the Spaniard still managed to show glimpses of his class.

And he even managed to grab himself the first assist of his Manchester United career.

That, you suspect, was merely the first of many.
