WWE star CM Punk has left the company, according to pwinsider.com.
This news comes days after an underwhelming "Royal Rumble" and a Monday Night RAW that did not feature the straight edge superstar.
It's thought that Punk, real name Phil Brooks, has been getting more and more frustrated with the overall direction of the company. He has been vocal in the past about the use of part-time stars headlining WrestleMania, and it seems that Batista winning the Rumble is the straw that broke the camels back.
CM Punk was written off RAW on monday night due to his meeting with Vince Mcmahon, in which he told the owner of the company that he was "going home", its believed he was scripted to cut a promo. However, this was obviously scrapped.
CM Punk's last goal was to headline a WrestleMania; but with his contract expiring in July, and a body bruised from over a decade of wrestling, it appears Punk will no longer have this match.
The WWE is now likely to go with Daniel Bryan vs Triple H at WrestleMania, with Bryan taking Punk's place in the storyline.
After the Royal Rumble on sunday night, CM Punk tweeted: "Thanks for all the support. Keep being you guys, it's pretty cool." Was this a cryptic farewell from the popular wrestler?
The WWE has yet to release a statement.
