Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is still hopeful of making one big signing in the transfer window before it closes on Friday.
After missing out on Mohamed Salah, Rodgers is keen to add one more player to his team that hammered Everton in the Merseyside derby last night, beating the Toffees 4-0.
He said: "I think we will hopefully do something over the next couple of days.
"We are not just going to get the players we want to get in for a number of reasons.
"Hopefully we can have a major signing before the window shuts and if we can do that we will be set up for the remaining games."
Liverpool have recently been linked with Ukraine international Yevhen Konoplyanka, from Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, with a fee of £16million being brandished to get him to the Premier League.
Konoplyanka, 24, is a winger who can operate on either flank, whose utilises his pace to beat men with ease.
He has recently been linked with other Premiership teams, so Liverpool will be hopeful of wrapping up the deal quickly, to stop other teams from snatching the player.
Konoplyanka caught the eye of Rodgers, after his displays for Ukraine against England, where he constantly posed an attacking threat down the wing.
