As deadline day approaches on Friday, Arsenal look like they could be bringing another German to the club in the form of Julian Draxler. The question is, do they need him?
The Gunners already have many options in the attacking midfield role. Santi Cazola, Mesut Ozil, Tomas Rosicky and Jack Wilshire are just to name a few. However, Draxler is regarded as a winger in his native Germany and played in that position for his national side at Wembley in November last year.
With Theo Walcott suffering from a long-term injury, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain arguably inconsistent when fit, the move for Draxler could make sense.
Money can't be an excuse for Wenger either, just this week Arsenal signed a new record kit sponsorship deal with Puma to the tune of £30 million per season.
With Arsenal still top of the Premier League, they need another boost, similar to the 'Ozil effect' in the summer. Draxler could be that man.
He could add further quality to the side at the Emirates and help the Gunners secure the Premier League title this term.
