Italian third division side Nocerina have been thrown out of the division, according to BBC Sport, after a group of their players faked injuries in a league match earlier in the season against rivals Salernitana.
In the derby game in November last year, Nocerina used all three substitutions and then five players went off the field injured. This led to the game being abandoned after just 21 minutes.
The match itself kicked off 40 minutes late as the Nocerina players had to be persuaded to take to the field in what the Italian media call 'the derby of hate'.
The reason as to why the players didn't want to play was because prior to the game they had received death threats from their own fans - the 'ultras'.
The Italian Football Federation made the following statement: "Nocerina have been excluded from the Lega Pro Championship for sporting fraud and will be assigned by the Federal Council to one of the league's lower categories."
The club was also find €10,000, but it remains unclear as to whether or not they plan to appeal the decision to remove them from the league.
