Brendan Rodgers hopes of a major signing before this Friday's transfer deadline after Liverpool picked up a 4-0 victory over their near neighbours Everton last night, according to BBC Sport.
After failing to bring Mohamed Salah to Anfield, the Reds are still confident to bring a new face at the club, with Dnirpo's winger Yevhen Konoplyanka reportedly set for a move to Liverpool.
"We are working together and hopefully we can have a major signing in before the window closes", said Rodgers, who insisted he was united with the club's chiefs after the frustration of losing out on priority target Salah to rivals Chelsea.
"If we can get someone in before the window closes we can then set up for the remaining games this season."
With Daniel Sturridge and Luis Suarez already leading the attacking line and Steven Gerrard playing in the midfield, Rodgers wants to strengthen the wings to increase the chances of scoring and secure a Champions League place along with pushing the competition for the Premier League title.
With Tottenham Hotspur sitting in the 5th position, just three points behind the Reds, with a match in hand, Rogers knows he must continue to improve the team to stand any chance of securing a top-four spot.
Liverpool picked up another crucial three points last night, but Rodgers have to be aware of a double threat with Everton sitting sixth, and just four points separating both teams.
He added: "It's another three points in terms of where we want to go." It's a massive victory over rivals close to us.
"If you look at Everton they've only conceded 11 goals away from home before tonight and for us to get four and to maybe have had a few more is very pleasing."
