French giants PSG are expected to announce the signing of midfielder Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle later on today.

Cabaye, who has been at Newcastle since 2011, returns to his home country with the lure on Champions League football being too much to resist.

The transfer free is rumoured to be around £20 million and all that is left to complete is the paperwork after the French international passed his medical.

Cabaye didn't play in last night's 0-0 stalemate with Norwich at Carrow Road as Alan Pardew looks to replace the influential playmaker.

Lyon's Clement Grenier is a possible target as Pardew may try bring in another Frenchman.

Now, Newcastle have confirmed the sale of Cabaye to Pairs Saint-Germain for an undisclosed fee.The midfielder had been linked with a move to both Arsenal and Manchester United, but has now returned to his home country ahead of the World Cup in Brazil.
