Arsenal and Liverpool are considering offers for Barcelona's highly-rated forward Isaac Cuenca, reports talkSPORT.
The 22-year-old is yet to feature for Tata Martino's side this season, having recovered from his latest injury setback that required surgery last June.
Cuenca has been plagued by knee troubles that have so far halted his promising career, and Barcelona now appear ready to let him leave Camp Nou, to continue his development elsewhere.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been mooted as an admirer of Cuenca, and could lodge a bid to bring him to the Emirates Stadium before the transfer window closes on Friday.
However, Arsenal could face competition from Premier League title rivals Liverpool, as Brendan Rodgers is also keen to further strengthen his forward line at Anfield this month.
Cuenca showed just what he is capable of during a loan spell with Ajax last season, and Martino has intimated he could be available for transfer, if the right club come calling.
"He is training," confirmed the Argentinian head coach. "We will see if he stays here or gets the chance to play elsewhere."
