Eli Manning has hailed his brother, Peyton's return from shoulder injury whilst speaking on NFL Network today.

Eli said that he thought Peyton would retire after his surgery and explained that the Broncos' quarterback had lost a lot of arm strength before his return.

"We were throwing in the back yard... We were 15 yards away and it was a lob, no pop on it at all."

Manning, whilst with the Indianapolis Colts missed the entire 2011 season with injury and was released by the Colts at the end of that season. He later signed with the Denver Broncos and now is two years into his return.

The quarterback's return from hardly being able to throw to the Super Bowl is incredible and brother Eli believes he has gone from strength to strength.

"He's got stronger, his arm strength is better and he's better than ever."

Peyton's Broncos defeated Eli's New York Giants 41-23 earlier this season at Metlife Stadium, the venue where the Super Bowl will be played this year.

Manning will become the only starting quarterback to win the Super Bowl with two different teams with victory on Sunday. He will also tie Eli Manning's two Super Bowl victories should the Broncos triumph.
