Regardless of whether Jayru Campbell was the aggressor when he body-slammed a security guard at his Cass Tech School last week, he certainly is in trouble.
The promising quarterback won a State Championship with his school in his freshman year and has been gaining rare reviews since then.
This lead to him being picked up by Michigan State University for the 2015 College Football season, but this now seems to be in doubt.
If this were next season, Campbell would certainly be dropped from his scholarship.
However, he has another season to get back into the good books of the law, his school, and any prospective Colleges.
This, however, certainly will be hard at this stage, with the QB in trouble with his school and the law.
Campbell's school and legal status remained messy this week, and the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office revealed in an e-mail it is "currently reviewing a warrant request."
"This process involves interviewing witnesses and evaluating evidence," wrote spokeswoman Maria Miller, in an e-mail to MLive.com sent at 1:12 p.m. "We do not expect to have a decision for several days."
