Manchester United target furious at substitution

Published 1 Comments

The future of Toni Kroos is the subject of intense speculation amid apparent interest from Manchester United, and the Bayern Munich midfielder did little arrest suggestions he could leave the Allianz Arena after throwing something of a hissy fit on Wednesday night.

Kroos is reported to have been identified by the Premier League champions as a potential recruit following the club record acquisition of Juan Mata from Chelsea, and a move could be sanctioned before the transfer deadline.

Manchester United manager David Moyes is reported to be ready to formalise an approach with the club prepared to pay £25 million in order to bring the Germany international to Old Trafford.

Kroos is deadlocked with his current employers regarding a new contract, with reports suggesting the 24-year-old holding out for a salary in the region of £150,000-per-week, and the outcome remains unclear.

The former Bayer Leverkusen has since fuelled suggestions that he wants out of Bayern after an angry reaction to being substituted during the mid-week victory against Stuttgart.

Kroos was replaced by Mario Mandzukic in the second-half of the 2-1 win at Mercedes-Benz Arena, and reacted by removing his gloves and hurling them at the Bayern bench. Take a look in the video above.

Bayern's win came courtesy of spectacular stoppage time winner from Thiago Alcantara, himself a former target for Manchester United.
