Man United hot favourites to pip Chelsea to £25m star

Published 1 Comments

Manchester United are red hot favourites to sign Bayern Munich star Toni Kroos ahead of Chelsea before tomorrow's transfer deadline passes.

Skybet have the Red Devils priced at 4/9 to sign the 24-year-old, who is reportedly open to the idea of joining the Premier League champions, while Chelsea are currently priced at 4/1 to bring the Germany midfielder to Stamford Bridge.

Rumours suggesting Kroos could leave the Allianz Arena intensified when Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola admitted that anything is possible in the unpredictable world of football.

While during last night's Bundesliga clash between Bayern and Stuttgart, Kroos reacted badly after being substituted by Guardiola on the hour-mark.

Manchester United boss David Moyes recently admitted that he may need to wait until the summer before making further big-name signings - following the £37.1m arrival of Juan Mata - but the Scot is unlikely to pass up the opportunity to sign the hugely talented Kroos.

United have been linked with a £25m move for the versatile midfielder this week, but have the Red Devils left it too late?

And even if they haven't, will Chelsea win the race for the Bundesliga star?
