Tottenham make £1m Berbatov bid

Published Add your comment

Tottenham have made a £1 million bid for Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov, reports The Metro.

Berbatov, who left Spurs for Manchester United in 2008, seemingly wants out at Fulham and could now make a move back to White Hart Lane.

Spurs boss Tim Sherwood appears keen on signing a new forward after the club agreed to let Jermain Defoe depart at the end of next month.

Berbatov has just five months remaining on his contract at Fulham and has also been tracked by the likes of Arsenal and West Ham United in this window

However it remains to be seen as to whether Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will make a move for Berbatov before tomorrow's deadline.

Arsenal, like Tottenham, are in need of extra options in attack as both sides target success in the second half of the season. But it now appears that Spurs are in the driving seat for the player's signature.
