Joint-ninth with an identical record to Manchester City is West Brom, whose 2013/14 campaign to date has been somewhat more turbulent than they might have expected after such a comfortable and enjoyable time last season.

Steve Clarke was sacked due to a run of poor form and the Baggies are now under the management of Spanish coach Pepe Mel, whose reputation would not have been enhanced too much this week after West Brom blew a 2-0 lead to lose 4-3 at Villa Park.

Youssouf Mulumbu, a pivotal figure in the heart of midfield, has six yellow cards while Jonas Olsson has eight.
