Manchester City's forgotten striker, Stevan Jovetic, lost his pants due to a promise he made to a fan whilst sitting on the bench last night.
Scoring his first Premier League goal meant that the striker had to slightly change a promise he had made to a fan, whilst sitting on the bench before going on.
Speaking to ITV, he said: "I was on the bench and he was near to me. He asked me for my shirt but after I scored my first Premier League goal I said I had to take the shirt, so I gave him the pants."
The Montenegrin - who was brought for £22million in the summer - has endured a underwhelming time in Manchester so far, as injuries and illness have plagued him since the move.
With fellow striker, Sergio Aguero, picking up an injury in last night's 5-1 win against Tottenham at White Hart Lane, this could prove the opportunity for the striker to establish himself in the team.
He revealed that he is happy in Manchester despite the injuries and is now ready to push on at the club.
He added: "I am happy because I had so many bad things behind me, but I was always positive and believed in myself. I knew I would play well and help the guys. I feel better now. We will see."
Jovetic has plenty of competition for places at Manchester City, Edin Dzeco and Alvaro Negredo are the other fit strikers available to City boss, Manuel Pelegrini.
