Manchester United star could join Tottenham on Friday

Tottenham are considering a shock loan move for Manchester United winger Nani, according to Le 10 Sport.

United boss David Moyes has reportedly told the Portugal winger that he is no longer needed at Old Trafford and is subsequently free to leave the club before Friday's transfer deadline.

Tottenham have opened discussions with the Premier League champions with a view to taking the 27-year-old on loan to White Hart Lane until the end of the season.

However, Inter Milan are also keen, as are the likes of Juventus, Valencia and Galatasaray.

Nani is contracted to the Red Devils until 2018 after he signed a new five-year deal in September.

But the winger, who has scored 41 goals in 224 matches for the Premier League giants, has only made 10 appearances in all competitions this season - and has fallen down the pecking order following the emergence of Adnan Januzaj and the £37.1m club-record signing of Juan Mata.
