Atletico Madrid completed a 3-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao on Wednesday to set up a crunch clash with city rivals Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-finals.
It is a repeat of last season's final, where Diego Simeone's men came from behind to win 2-1 in extra time.
The two-legged tie could be won and lost in these two main areas of the field:
Diego Costa v Cristiano Ronaldo
The in-form striker is currently linked with a move away from Atletico but that isn't expected to take place until the summer. When he is put up against the current best player of the world it should be explosive.
Ronaldo is on fire, especially with the supporting acts of Karim Benzema, Angel Di Maria and Gareth Bale providing the ammunition for the Portugal captain.
Koke v Luka Modric
The ever improving Koke has attracted the attentions of Manchester United and even Real, who are impressed by the youngsters temperament. As for Modric, his qualities are they for everyone to see. He has managed to turn his Real career around after being voted the worst signing of the season (last year).
Whoever wins the midfield battle will surely go on to see their team through to the final.
The winner of tie will play the winner of the other semi-final. League leaders Barcelona face off against Real Sociedad.
