Barcelona are unlikely to let Cristian Tello complete a switch to Arsenal on loan for the remainder of the season, reports The Daily Mail.

It had been reported that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was interested in a move for the Catalans ace as he looks to improve on his squad before the shut of the window.

However it now appears that the Arsenal boss will have to look elsewhere if he's to add to his side. The Gunners have been struck down with a number of injuries of late, with the likes of Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey on the sidelines.

And with Tello's future seemingly uncertain at the Nou Camp, Arsenal had hoped to take the forward on loan for the rest of this season.

It remains to be seen as to whether Arsenal will make any movement before tomorrow's deadline. Any transfer that Arsenal do make could give them a boost in their quest to win the Premier League title this season.
