Eli the Ape predicts the Super Bowl outcome

Stop the press. Switch of the television. There is no need to hear what any other experts or ex-players think will happen Sunday in New Jersey.

Eli the Ape, resident of Utah's Hogle Zoo, has completed his annual prediction of who will be victorious in the Super Bowl.

Seattle Seahawks will be triumphant ... if you believe what he has to say.

And how do we know?

The ape ran into an enclosure and quickly made his way to a paper-mache helmet emblazoned with the Seahawks logo, promptly crushing it with his hand - the sign that he had made his decision (apparently).

Peyton Manning and the Broncos should be worried - Eli has correctly picked the winners of the big game for the past six seasons straight.

The ape has upset some of his Broncos' supporting zookeepers  with this prediction however:

"They are hoping this is his first wrong year," zoo representative Erica Hansen told the Salt Lake Tribune.

Eli follows in the footsteps of other psychic animals such as Paul the octopus who had unrivalled success during the 2006 football World Cup in Germany.
