The deal taking Liverpool and Tottenham target Yevhen Konoplyanka to Anfield is ‘ready to be completed,’ according to reports.

The Daily Mirror, citing sources in the Ukraine, claims that the Dnipro striker is expected to sign on the dotted line before the 11pm deadline tonight, and thus push through his move to Liverpool.

Despite fears that Premier League rivals Tottenham were set to hijack the deal, it appears that Brendan Rodgers will finally add to his squad having missed out on Egyptian target Mohamed Salah a few days ago.

The transfer taking Konoplyanka to Merseyside is thought to be costing Liverpool around £16million, with the 24-year-old taking home £60,000-a-week in wages.

The Reds’ managing director Ian Ayre is currently in Ukraine to finalise the deal, and fans can expect an announcement later on today.
